TEACHERS ON STRIKE, THERE IS MORE TO IT.

Teachers going on strike ain't stopping now since many factors constitutes it. A major factor eating teachers up is politics. Successive government s, the change of government every four or eight years making governments not taking teachers serious.

Mr. Abubakar Sumaila Abanga Dasmani upon an interview with Jay Smart, the administrator for SmartNewsGh and a publisher at ThisIsgh.com and Ghmusicpromo.com has expressed his displeasure as a teacher on ongoing issues at the field. Mr. Dasmani a tutor at the Ashaiman Senior High School has outlined some of the challenges teachers are encountering which will always instigate them to embark on strikes.

He admitted that he is currently on vacation but would not want to add extra work. "Not at the expense of students" he said.
According to him, teachers are really really suffering financially admitting that they are not paid as it should be since people are are still demanding what should have been paid in 2012.

Apart from the problem of successive governments, the tutor thinks they are their own devil's; "And teachers themselves are not serious" quote and unquote.

In details he said,
"No government has ever been serious with teachers. Some teachers are just okay with everything. Teachers are divided on political and whole lot of lines and therefore we always fight a losing battle. There is one body for doctors. Ghana Medical Association (GMA) but with teachers, many. There are GNAT, NAGRAT, CCT among others". He added on.

The teacher who commute from Kasoa to teach at At Ashaiman in this case thinks his case is more worse.
