African Most Captivating Culture you need to know

Africa is a great continent blessed with rich heritage and wonderful people. Each region with it's unique culture among these is Mursi of Ethiopia

Mursi tribe is found in Ethiopia, lower part of Africa valley, they are mostly nomads and their language is called 'muris' which is Surmic in other languages

They live an egalitarian lifestyle where everyone is treated with respect and dignity. Mursi people maintain their ancient way of bartering and sharing of goods. Most of them are bald including women, they normally wear ornaments of different kinds and tattoos on their bodies like the Gonna tribe of Namibia

Mursi women love wearing lip plates. The plate is made from clay and they decorate their body with piercing, tattooing and circumcision

The plate worn is best seen as expression of social adulthood and reproductive potential. It is the rites of passage from adolescent to womanhood, it is often claimed: the size of the lip plate is correlated with the size of the bride plate

The cutting and stretching the lower part of the lip originated as a deliberate disfigurement, designed to make women and girls less attractive to slave trade
The Mursi tribe in Ethiopia is one of the main culture offering Africa has in store . It makes them to be a tourist attraction to the world.
