FOKA FACEBOOK AWARDS 2018 CATEGORY DEFINITION IS OUT

The 2018 FOKA Facebook Awards is here upon us and just like any other Awards Scheme, we hear Media guys, Bloggers and the general public raise arguments as to what qualifies what User /song/item into which category and what the judges consider before nominating any User/song/item for any particular category.
To avert this kind of discussions and make better informed decisions, FOKA FACEBOOK AWARDS BOARD shares with you the various categories that can be filed for and the definitions so Facebook Users, artists, entertainment analysts as well as the general public are well informed to make meaningful arguments.
Works that will be submitted must have been released between January 1, 2018 and December 30, 2018.

 2018 CATEGORY DEFINITIONS FOR FOKA FACEBOOK AWARDS
1. OVERALL BEST FACEBOOK USER
The Overall Best Facebook user is the User(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the User(s) with the highest Facebook posts on his timeline, Likes, comments, audience appeal and popularity. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review.
2. MOST ACTIVE CELEBRITY OF THE YEAR
The Most Active Celebrity of the Year is the User(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being active on Facebook each day and having more posts on Timeline. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review.
3. MOST INACTIVE CELEBRITY OF THE YEAR
The Most Inactive Celebrity of the Year is the User(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being a celebrity who is inactive on Facebook, most at times and having less posts on Timeline. The User(s) must have posted at least once a week during the year under review.
4. MOST ACTIVE USER OF THE YEAR
The Most Active User of the Year is the User(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being active on Facebook each day and having more posts on Timeline. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review.
5. MOST TALENTED PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR
The Most Talent Personality of the Year is the User(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being active on Facebook each day with more than one activity posts on Timeline. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review
6. BEST DEEJAY OF THE YEAR
The Best Deejay of the Year is the User(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being active on Facebook promoting songs and artworks each day and having more posts on Timeline related to his profession. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review
7. REGGAE/DANCEHALL ARTISTE(S) OF THE YEAR
The Reggae/Dancehall Artiste(s) of the Year is the Artiste(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the Artiste(s) with the highest audience appeal and popularity in the Reggae/Dancehall genre on Facebook and having more posts on Timeline related to his Career. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review.



8. GOSPEL ARTISTE(S) OF THE YEAR
The Gospel Artiste(s) of the Year is the Artiste adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the Artiste(s) with the highest audience appeal and popularity in the Gospel genre on Facebook and having more posts on Timeline related to his Career. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review.
9. FEMALE PRESENTER OF THE YEAR
The Female Presenter of the Year is the User(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being active on Facebook, Streaming radio programs on Facebook each day and having more posts on Timeline related to their profession. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review
10. MALE PRESENTER OF THE YEAR
The male Presenter of the Year is the User(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being active on Facebook, Streaming radio programs on Facebook each day and having more posts on Timeline related to their profession. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review

11. CELEBRITY BLOGGER OF THE YEAR
The Celebrity Blogger of the Year is the blogger(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being active on Facebook, Sharing Celebrity articles, pictures, videos, music links on Facebook each day and having more posts on Timeline related to their profession. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review
12. BEST BLOGGER / PROMOTER (S) OF THE YEAR
 The Blogger/Promoter of the Year is the blogger(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being active on Facebook, promoting & sharing articles, Cover Arts, pictures, videos, and music links of all artist (upcoming/mainstream) on Facebook each day and having more posts on Timeline related to their profession. 13.  MOST ACTIVE BLOGGER / PROMOTER OF THE YEAR
The Most Active blogger / Promoter of the Year is the User(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being active on Facebook each day and  promoting & sharing articles, Cover Arts, pictures, videos, and music links of all artist (upcoming/mainstream) on Facebook each day and having more posts on Timeline related to their profession. 14. HIGHLIFE ARTIST OF THE YEAR
The Highlife Artiste(s) of the Year is the Artiste adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the Artiste(s) with the highest audience appeal and popularity in the Highlife genre on Facebook and having more posts on Timeline related to his Career. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review.
15. MOST POPULAR SONG OF THE YEAR
The Most Popular Song of the Year is the song adjudged 100% by the General Public as the most Trended and popular song released in the year under review, irrespective of genre. The song must have enjoyed a lot of patronage and generated
the most excitement during the year.
16. MOST CRAZY / FUNNY NAME OF THE YEAR
 The Most Crazy/ Funny Name of the Year is the Name adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the most crazy or Funny name used on Facebook in the year under review. The Name must have generated the most excitement during the year
17. MOST FUNNY POSTER OF THE YEAR
The Most Funny poster of the Year is the user(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the Funniest posts on Facebook in the year under review. Their post must have generated the most excitement during the year
18. MOST NONFA POSTER OF THE YEAR
The Most Nonfa poster of the Year is the user(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the senseless posts on Facebook in the year under review. Their post must have generated anger on other users on Facebook.
19. FACEBOOK MOST COPY & PASTE POSTER/ SHARE
The Most Copy & paste poster of the Year is the user(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the most user who share, copy and paste and like every funny, news or item they see on Facebook  in the year under review. Their post must have generated anger on other users on Facebook. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review.
20. BEST GROUP OF THE YEAR
The Best Group of the Year is the Artistes adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the group with the highest audience appeal and popularity. They must comprise of at least 2 or more members and must have a page and Mostly Active on Facebook.
21. BEST SHOWBIZ ANALYST OF THE YEAR
The Best Showbiz analyst of the Year is the user(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being active on Facebook, Sharing their ideas, views and comments about the all issues relating to the showbiz whole on their timeline. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review

 
22. BEST JOURNALIST OF THE YEAR OF THE YEAR
 The Best journalist of the Year is the user(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being active on Facebook, posting News items, information, updates & sharing articles on Facebook each day and having more posts on Timeline related to their profession. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review
23. TOP MOST LIKES PER POST OF THE YEAR
The Most likes per post is the account (s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being active on Facebook with most likes per post  without using auto-like or sponsoring an post each day and having more posts on Timeline. 24. BEST SPORTS JOURNALIST OF THE YEAR
The Best Sports journalist of the Year is the user(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being active on Facebook, posting Sports News items, Sports information, updates & sharing Sports articles on Facebook each day and having more posts on Timeline related to their profession. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review
25. BEST EVENT PROMOTER OF THE YEAR
The Best Event Promoter of the Year is the user(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being active on Facebook, promoting & sharing articles, Cover Arts, pictures, videos, and news links relating to an Event on Facebook each day and having more posts on Timeline related to their profession. 30. BEST RAPPER OF THE YEAR
The Best Rapper of the year is adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the rap Artiste with the best word compositions, rhymes and rap dexterity on Facebook live or Video or a popular song released in the year under review and having more posts on Timeline related to their profession. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review.
31. MOST TAGGED CELEBRITY OF THE YEAR
The Most Tagged Celebrity of the Year is the user(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being an active Celebrity on Facebook and  all users on their list mostly tag them on their  articles, pictures, videos, music links on Facebook each day and having more posts on Timeline related to their profession. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review
32. BEST PRODUCER/SOUND ENGINEER OF THE YEAR
The Best Sound Engineer of the Year award is adjudged by Peers and the Board to be the Sound Engineer directly responsible for the recording, mastering and technical treatment and as being active on Facebook each day and having more posts on Timeline related to their profession. The Instrumentalist of the Year is an honorary award presented to the Instrumentalist who performed creditably on a number of hit songs that were released during the year under review. It is adjudged by the Board and awarded to the Instrumentalist who had the most influence on the music scene.
36. LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD / FACECOOK LEGENDARY MUSIC CONTRIBUTION AWARD
The Lifetime Achievement Award is adjudged by the Board as a Living Legend of Ghanaian Showbiz whose works must have spanned generations. The User or artiste may not have released in the year under review on Facebook.
37. MOST DECENT USER
The Most Decent user is adjudged by the Board as a user whose posts, comments and pictures on Facebook are very decent. The User may not have posted more in the year under review on Facebook.

38. BEST SITE OF THE YEAR
The Best Sites of the Year is the website(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being an active site on Facebook with more shared links, articles and great content each day and having more posts on Timeline related to their mission. The sites(s) must have been updated all day during the year under review

39. MOST ACTIVE POLITICIANS
The Most Active Politician of the Year is the User(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being active on Facebook each day and having more posts on Timeline. The User(s) must have posted all day during the year under review. (User must be a politician)

40. BEST EVENT OF THE YEAR
The Best Event of the Year is the event(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as being trended on Facebook with more shared links, articles and great activities each day, before, during and after the event and also having more posts on Timeline related to their mission. 41. BEST ENTERTAINMENT SHOW

MAAME YAA TIWA ADDO DANQUAH NOW FORMAL. The Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, has been reassigned by the Inspector General of Police, James Oppong-Boanuh. She is now the Director-General in-charge of Welfare at the Ghana Police Service. COP Isaac Ken Yeboah, formerly the Director-General in-charge of Admin is now the new CID Director-General. Tiwaa’s reassignment was announced in a statement signed by the IGP today, Friday, January 3, 2020 and is supposed to take effect on January 15, 2020. She was reassigned together with 23 other top officials of the service.
